Pigmentation treatment aftercare

Pigmentation treatment aftercare in Jodhpur—SPF, heat, actives, flaking, makeup, and how to protect laser or peel results at Suncity Dentaglow.

Reviewed for clinical consistency with Dr. Divyanshee Bishnoi’s team at Suncity Dentaglow, Shastri Nagar, Jodhpur.

After pigment laser or peels, protect the barrier: gentle cleanse, moisturise, and strict broad-spectrum SPF. Avoid heat, scrubbing, and picking while skin settles.

Immediate care

Redness can last hours to days depending on intensity. Use only products your clinician cleared—strong acids or retinoids often need a pause.

Jodhpur UV can darken recovering skin (post-inflammatory pigment risk). SPF every day is part of treatment, not a suggestion for “fair weather.”

Heat, gym, and travel

Skip saunas, steam, and harsh scrubbing while healing. Gym is often fine with light sweat once irritation settles—avoid rubbing treated zones raw.

If you travel soon after treatment, pack SPF and a hat. Desert sun and long drives are common failure points for pigment plans.

Until the series ends

Attend review visits before deepening settings. Report unexpected darkening, blistering, or lasting pain promptly—do not self-escalate with home remedies.

Patient questions

Can I wear makeup after pigment laser?

Often mineral or light makeup once the surface settles—follow your visit sheet. Never cover open or weeping skin.

When can I restart vitamin C or retinol?

When your clinician clears you—often after the barrier calms. Restarting too early can irritate and worsen pigment risk.

Is peeling after treatment normal?

Mild flaking can occur with some protocols. Do not pick. If peeling is severe or painful, contact the clinic.
